VeriSign To Symantec SSL Brand Transition

In August of 2010, Symantec purchased VeriSign Authentication Services which included VeriSign SSL Certificates and the VeriSign Trust Seal service. These services are now offered by Symantec. As part of the transition, all VeriSign Product Names and branding will be affected.

Security and trust are essential to doing business online. Without a secure website and visible sign of online trust, consumers will be less likely to stay on your site and transact with you. The VeriSign seal is the most recognized trust mark on the Internet. When it is automatically updated in April 2012, the Norton Secured Seal will be displayed up to 650 million times per day on more than 100,000 websites in 165 countries and in search results on enabled browsers, partner shopping sites and product review web pages.

New name. Same strength.

Although the company name is changing, the same high security standards remain. We continue to:

  • Provide the industry-leading encryption that secures more than 1 million web servers worldwide.
  • Use the same rigorous and proven authentication processes established by VeriSign to verify businesses and websites.
  • Provide the highest level of support you have come to expect with the same customer service and sales teams you know and trust.
